Builder / Developer

Logo The project developer and builder was Women in Construction LLC, a company no longer in business. Women in Construction Company was a non-profit organization devoted to training and supporting women in the building trades. The company trained many women and developed many projects that enhanced our community.

Logo Wagner Zaun Architecture offers design, research, and consulting with specialization in residential and community-based projects that are unique, energy-efficient and conservation-minded. We've pursued knowledge in building science, and have become increasingly adept at energy analysis of our designs. Our team continues to study energy-efficient, resource-efficient design in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. We combine our focus on energy efficiency with a broader view of the environmental implications of both energy use and materials and methods used in building. We use our skills to create environmentally responsible designs, using materials and methods readily available, and relatively easy to measure and duplicate. And with our process-intensive approach to design, attention is always paid to the creation of comfortable, inviting, habitable spaces.

Energy Design / Consulting

Logo Conservation Technologies is a Duluth firm specializing in high performance building technologies relevant to our very cold climate. We focus on finding the best combination of design and construction approaches to dramatically reduce a building's energy consumption and related environmental impact, while also insuring solid durability and a healthy indoor environment. Our involvement in the Eco Home project included design assistance, construction inspections, mechanical system integration, renewable energy systems and general building performance guidance.
